Disclaimer

If you do not know me (I mean, really know me) then there is something you need to understand before you read this blog: I value the truth above everything else... except a good laugh. A good laugh will almost always beat the truth as far as I’m concerned. Everything you read on this blog will be true, somewhat true, or something I made up in an effort to get a laugh. Sometimes I will go on a rant that I don’t really mean (or only kind of mean). Sometimes I will mean what I write only to completely change my mind a year, month, or day later. Such is life. By reading this blog you agree not to get offended by anything I write (or, at the very least, you agree not to tell me or anyone else that you are offended). It is worth noting that my employer does not endorse my blog (or even read it, to tell you the truth). The Wife also does not endorse my blog (though she will read it from time to time). I am not paid to write this... it’s just my way of giving back to the community. I have, and will, touch on a wide range of subjects and will give my opinion on these subjects. Again, most of what I say is for laughs but every now and then I will say what I really think and feel (see my views on Westboro Baptist Cult). How will you know when I’m serious and when I’m trying to get a laugh? You’ll know. And if you don’t know, well... maybe this isn’t the best thing for you to be reading. So, sit back, read and enjoy. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TERI!!!!!!!!!!!!

My sister Teri is turning 38 today, so I would like to take a minute to wish her a happy birthday. No, you will not be reading 38 things about Teri today. That kind of post is saved for “milestone” birthdays. Besides, I’m still drained from the 95 things about MaMa post. But I still want to wish Teri a Happy Birthday and let her know that Maverick will be calling at some point today to sing to her.

I will share one “Teri” memory with you:

I remember my Freshman year at Winthrop I called Teri on my birthday and left her a message reminding her it was my birthday and to call me and wish me a happy birthday.

She never called. :-(

In other news, Susie is now saying DaDa and Daddy. So it won’t be long before she starts asking me for money.

I’m trying to figure out how I can start a 501c to help Mary Ruth raise money for this Disney trip she wants to go on. Really, she should be the one trying to figure this out... but I try to help her when I can.

I watched Young Guns II when I was home sick this past Wednesday (I’m better now, thanks). One of the best movie scenes ever (maybe not THE best, but it’s on the list)...

Doc: “William H. Bonney, you are not a god”.

Billy the Kid: “Why don’t you pull the trigger and find out”.

WOW! That, as we used to say on the baseball field, takes some pretty big... well, I probably should say what we used to say.

Well, I've got to change the oil in the car and then take care of some yard work so that's all for today.

Happy Birthday Teri!
