Disclaimer

If you do not know me (I mean, really know me) then there is something you need to understand before you read this blog: I value the truth above everything else... except a good laugh. A good laugh will almost always beat the truth as far as I’m concerned. Everything you read on this blog will be true, somewhat true, or something I made up in an effort to get a laugh. Sometimes I will go on a rant that I don’t really mean (or only kind of mean). Sometimes I will mean what I write only to completely change my mind a year, month, or day later. Such is life. By reading this blog you agree not to get offended by anything I write (or, at the very least, you agree not to tell me or anyone else that you are offended). It is worth noting that my employer does not endorse my blog (or even read it, to tell you the truth). The Wife also does not endorse my blog (though she will read it from time to time). I am not paid to write this... it’s just my way of giving back to the community. I have, and will, touch on a wide range of subjects and will give my opinion on these subjects. Again, most of what I say is for laughs but every now and then I will say what I really think and feel (see my views on Westboro Baptist Cult). How will you know when I’m serious and when I’m trying to get a laugh? You’ll know. And if you don’t know, well... maybe this isn’t the best thing for you to be reading. So, sit back, read and enjoy. Leave comments if you want and don’t be afraid to publicly follow me.

Thoughts while waiting for Susie...

I’m still on the road to recovery. Can’t say the same thing for Dingo (the dog I talked a little about yesterday). Word on the street is that Dingo was put to sleep last night. It looks like the driver will recover. Now all that’s left is for the charges against the owner to be dropped.

It seems I may have misread my James Island Trojans yesterday. I predicted the upset, but Goose Creek would have none of it shutting out JI 45-0.

I’ve owned vehicles that weren’t as fast as CJ Spiller.

Did you know that there are TV stations that show non-sporting events on Saturday’s this time of year? I didn’t either, until Scooby stepped on the remote and changed the channel.

If I could pick one announcer to call every college football game I watch, I think I would pick Brent Musburger. I love that guy.

With all that has been going on in my life lately, I have cheated one of my favorite teams of their deserved space on my blog. Therefore, I would like to take a minute to let everyone know that my Navy Midshipmen are 4-2 heading into their game tonight at SMU. With a win over Air Force two weeks ago, Navy is now is excellent position to win another Commander-In-Chief’s Trophy.

It looks like Clemson may have caught Wake Forest looking ahead to their game verses Navy next week.

Did the ACC pass a rule that says it has to rain at every Clemson home game this year?

The South Carolina Gamecocks take on the Alabama Crimson Tide tonight in Alabama. There are some who think the Gamecocks have a good chance to pull off the upset. After seeing USC play a few games this year, I think they could win. I don’t think they will… but they have a chance (which is more than I would have given them in the past).

Maybe tonight will be the night Susie decides to come into our world….

Cleveland Cavs fact of the day: The Cavs team colors are Wine, Gold, White, and Navy Blue.

Winthrop Eagles fact of the day: The Eagles team colors are Garnet and Gold.
